With the beginning of the New Year comes that magical feeling of a fresh, clean new start. The opportunity to build, grow and thrive into a new 12 months empowers us to do better and achieve even more greatness than the previous year.
This past Friday I was sitting with two of my closest friends discussing and planning our New Year’s Eve celebrations, when I asked a question: “How do you want to feel in 2013? What three words describe how you want to experience and live every day of the New Year?”
Once we had each selected our words, we associated our goals, to-dos, inspirations, and anything that came to mind that connected something positive to these feelings.
The exercise was thought provoking and powerful, especially when we shared our various words with one another. Refining the exercise into absolute precision, we then proceeded to pick one of our three words that would be our feeling of utmost importance for 2013.
Without a doubt we all want to feel good and happy in any year; however, being specific with one feeling and building around that is a worthwhile reflection.
The visualization that it creates is even more striking!
To end I want to say a BIG thank you to everyone for taking the time to read my blog and follow my journey. I can’t believe it’s already been four months since my first post. I constantly grow and learn from your feedback and I am so grateful that I’m able to share my experiences.
As we welcome 2013 I wish you all to feel “Healthy, Youthful and Inspired” and of course to identify what word will be your focus to make you THRIVE in the New Year.
Fabulous post my friend! …a great way to end 2012 and begin a fresh, new, full-of-opportunity 2013! Can’t wait to share and hear about MRM’s, and looking forward to many more of your travel, inspiration, and athlectics musings on your blog! I’m moved by these images and am excited to make my own visualization of how I want to feel in 2013…thanks Joe! You, and all my friends never cease to amaze & inspire me 🙂
I know that my reply comes a little post 2012 but better late than never right?
I have thought about how I want to feel in 2013 and after the small but unfortunate events that ended my 2012 I want my 2013 to be POSITIVE. I want to feel that way, see life that way and most importantly I want to be that way.
I will be working on my vision board for 2013 and Positive will be key word. Thanks for helping me find my word, my feeling for 2013. I know that you will definitely be part of my positive experiences 🙂
And who knows, you may have just inspired my next post!
Hi Stephanie! Thanks so much for sharing your word – Positive thinking, living, planning, traveling and adventures in 2013. Love it!
Can’t wait to see your next post!
